Taking individual training activity into account, towards the end of the season, practitioners have the opportunity to take a 6th kyu belt test (youth/adults, over 13 years old), and during the season, there are proficiency tests for juniors (under 13 years old). Belt tests follow the guidelines and pricing of the Finnish Aikido Federation.
General instructions for attending the class:
- Bring workout attire, such as sweatpants and a T-shirt, a small towel for foot hygiene, and indoor shoes for walking on the tatami. Remove jewelry before the practice.
- Arrive well in advance (approximately 15 minutes) before the start of the class. This allows time for changing clothes, foot hygiene, and possibly receiving any necessary initial information from more experienced practitioners.
- You can try Aikido for free a couple of times.
- The training fee is:
- Adults (15 years and older): €175 per semester
- Juniors (under 15 years old): €90 per semester
- Additional Aikido Federation license/insurance fees apply.
You can also participate in specific sessions through the City of Helsinki sports groups (EasySport, FunAction, NYT-liikunta), in which case, the training fees follow the City of Helsinki sports group pricing.
The training fee can be adjusted to suit the practitioner’s training style; inquire about alternative options at the training hall.
